Acute angle closure glaucoma (increased inner eye pressure)

Increased pressure within the eye. Acute closed angle glaucoma is less common than chronic open angle glaucoma. It is caused by a narrowing in the pathway where aqueous humor (the fluid in the front part of the eye) exits. This fluid accumulates and causes increased pressure which can cause eye pain, nausea, headache, and visual loss.
