Artificial tears act as a substitute for natural tear film, increasing the viscosity of the eye surface. They contain polymers that bind to the ocular surface, reducing friction during blinking and preventing evaporation. This helps to soothe discomfort and protect the cornea from environmental irritants.
Apply 1 to 2 drops into the affected eye(s) as needed, typically up to 4 times daily.
